The Prime Minister of Jamaica, The Most Honourable Andrew Michael Holness, O.N., M.P., is currently inviting all eligible young persons from members of the public to be nominated for the Prime Minister’s National Youth Awards for Excellence.
The PM Awards was started in 1998 as part of the Values and Attitudes Programme of the then government. After a 3-year hiatus, the Awards was restarted last year as a means of recognising and saluting youth (aged 15-24) who have distinguished themselves in various sectors.
The Prime Minister’s National Youth Awards for Excellence is open to all Jamaican nationals between 15-29 years old, who are living in Jamaica and the Diaspora, and who have attained excellence and world class achievement. Additionally, there is a Youth Work Award, which is open to individuals and organisations who have been involved in youth development work for a minimum period of five years.
